Candidate will participate in IC developments from initial customer proposal development thru managing the Intrinsix development effort, and third party design partners. The Project Manager oversees all aspects of the project using planning, monitoring, and controlling processes.  The Project Manager may be responsible for more than one project at a time.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate with the technical design leaders to define the scope of work for assigned projects and develop statements of work, work breakdown structures, task estimates, and specific tasks and milestones to implement customer or internal R&D projects.

• Identify assumptions and constraints (technical, schedule, resource, and budget) for the project.

• Develop Risk Register and Risk Response plans for project. 

• Manage relationship with the customer and define expectations.

• Manage the project budget.

• Facilitate team and customer meetings.

• Communicate all pertinent information to the engineering team and all stakeholders.

• Understand pricing models and billing procedures.

• Provide feedback to employees on performance – provide input to performance appraisals.

• Monitor, control, and communicate to corporate management the status of customer and/or internal R&D projects, with attention to resource utilization, project costs, risk management, project profit margins, and the technical performance of the Intrinsix engineering team.

 Qualifications:  

• 15+ years experience in electronics design and development engineering with focus on IC design and integration.  At least 5 years of project management experience.

• Must exhibit technical leadership and have experience with team building, process improvement, conflict resolution, and motivating people.

• Proven track record in project management coordinating the efforts hardware, software teams.

• Formal training in Project Management methods and techniques.

• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Must have strong communications skills and organizational skills.

• BSEE is required. MS is desirable as is PMP Certification.
